Report

Learn how to review completed print jobs using the report’s summary, defect visuals, alerts, and comments.

Summary

When a print job has completed, the Report tab becomes available. The summary section provides a high-level overview of the print job, including key properties such as device and duration. It also displays the job’s layer profile, the number of critical alerts encountered, and a direct link to the print job for easy reference.

Layer defects

This section presents the layer frequency graph, identical to the one shown in the Layer Viewer. It highlights how often each defect category occurs across the build, giving you a quick sense of overall print health and defect distribution.

Heatmaps

Here you’ll find heatmaps for the most critical defect types observed during the print. These visualizations help you identify spatial patterns—such as defects concentrated in specific regions of the build plate—that may indicate hardware issues, process instability, or part-specific challenges.

Alerts

All alerts generated during the print job appear in this section, each listed with its start time and resolution time. This provides a clear chronological record of issues that were detected and addressed during the build.

Comments

Any comments added to the print job—by operators, engineers, or automated systems—are displayed here. This section serves as a running log of observations, decisions, and notes relevant to the job’s execution and evaluation.

Report options and defaults

Use Report options in the report sidebar to control what appears in the printed report:

  • Content
    • Include model ID
    • Use critical layers only in heatmaps
  • Display
    • Optimize for black-and-white printing
    • Show a separate graph for each defect type

These values default to your organization’s report settings (Settings > Reports) and are applied automatically when a report is opened.

Organization admins can update these defaults from the report sidebar using Manage defaults, or directly from Settings > Reports.
