Image tool options

The Layer Viewer includes several tools that help you navigate, compare, and annotate layer images efficiently. Each option affects how you interact with the recoater and exposure images.

Hand tool

Use the hand tool to pan and zoom within the viewport. This is the primary navigation mode for moving around large or detailed areas of the image.

Comment tool

Add comments directly on the layer images to mark observations, tag issues, or collaborate with colleagues on specific regions of the build.

Single / dual view

Switch between:

  • Single-view mode - displays either the recoater or exposure image
  • Dual-view mode - shows both images side by side for direct comparison

This makes it easy to identify differences between the two image layers.

By default, panning and zooming are synchronized across both images. The Unlink views option lets you pan each image independently, which is helpful when you want to inveatigate different regions in each layer view.

Hide cursor

This option shows or hides a synchronized cursor that appears in both layer images. Hiding the cursor is useful when it obstructs fine details, while showing it helps you locate the same region in both views.

Fullscreen mode

Enabling fullscreen expands the viewer to fill the screen, giving you more space to inspect details and compare defect patterns across layers.
