Getting started
Creating a device
Learn how to create a new device in Euler.
Devices represent printers and data sources that send build data to Euler — whether through manual uploads or Euler Connect for live monitoring. Creating a device allows Euler to associate uploaded or streamed data with the correct printer in your organization.
To add a new device, open Settings > Devices & Euler Connect and click + New device in the top right corner.
This opens the Create a New Device dialog.

- Device type: Select the printer manufacturer and model from the dropdown. This helps Euler apply the correct defaults for data handling and analysis.
- Euler Connect: Choose the Euler Connect instance installed on the workstation connected to this printer. Euler Connect handles live data streaming.
- Directory: Enter the local path where build data is stored. This path can be used for manual uploads or as the active watch directory for Euler Connect.
