Euler Connect

Troubleshooting Euler Connect

What to do when a device is offline, not receiving data, or Euler Connect cannot reach Euler.

Start on the device's status in Euler. You see it on the device page, on the Datasources page under Connections, and on the Overview page.

The device shows Offline

Offline means Euler has not heard from Euler Connect for more than five minutes. The datasource page shows Heartbeat not received in the last 5 minutes.

  1. Check that the computer is on and that you are logged in.
  2. Check that Euler Connect is running: look for its icon in the taskbar notification area. If it is not there, start Euler Connect from the Start menu.
  3. Check that the computer has network access to Euler. If it uses a proxy, see Proxy problems.
  4. Click Restart in the tray menu.

Euler Connect recovers from short interruptions, such as a network share or the connection to Euler dropping for a moment, and sends the layers it missed. Layers the printer writes while Euler Connect is not running at all are not picked up later. Keep it running during builds, with Launch at startup turned on in the tray menu. If a build was missed, upload it once it has finished.

Connected, but no new layers arrive

If the device shows Not receiving data, Euler Connect is running but cannot read the watched folder. The message under the device in Connections says why, for example:

  • Watched folder not found: the drive is not connected or the path is wrong.
  • Watched folder is unreachable or Watched folder is not responding: usually a network drive that lost its connection.
  • Watched path is not a folder: the path points to a file. Use the folder the printer creates its print folders in.

You do not need to restart anything. Euler Connect keeps checking and resumes by itself once the folder is available again. Fix the drive or the network connection. If the path itself is wrong, click Edit on the connection and correct the Root Directory.

If the device shows Error, the connection has stopped and needs you: update the connection settings, or click restart the connection in the message.

If the device shows Connected but a running build still does not appear, check that the printer writes its images to the folder set as Root Directory. If the folder is on a network drive, open More settings on the connection and turn on Use Polling-Based Watcher.

Proxy problems

If setup shows Connection Failed, Euler Connect could not reach Euler.

  • Check the Hostname and that the computer has a working network connection.
  • If the computer can only reach the internet through a proxy, enter it in Proxy URL (optional). HTTP and SOCKS5 proxies work. With a proxy, you sign in with a license file.
  • Ask your IT team whether the proxy or firewall blocks the address of Euler.

To change these settings later, open SettingsSetup from the tray menu.

Send diagnostics to Euler support

Export the package

In the tray menu, click SettingsDiagnosticsExport diagnostics package and choose where to save the zip file.

Send it to Euler

Send the zip file to Euler support with a short description of the problem: which device, when it started, and what Euler shows. Email it to hello@euler3d.com.
