Troubleshooting and common questions

Quick answers to the problems people run into most often.

Short answers to common problems. If yours is not here, contact Euler at hello@euler3d.com.

My upload doesn't find any layers

If Euler shows Not recognized, the folder's file names differ from what it expects for this device type. Check that you chose the build's main folder, not a subfolder inside it; Euler tells you when you picked a subfolder. Then click Choose another directory and try again. If your printer stores images in a layout Euler doesn't know yet, request support for your device.

I picked the wrong device type

An admin can change it under SettingsDevices & Datasources: open the device and choose the correct Device type. See Device settings.

A device shows as offline

Euler has not heard from the device's Euler Connect for a while. Check that the computer running Euler Connect is switched on, connected to the network, and that Euler Connect is running. See Euler Connect troubleshooting.

I'm not getting alert emails

Check your spam or junk folder, and add Euler's sender address to your safe senders. Then check that Critical defect in print job is on under Events in Notifications. If it is, ask an admin whether Disable critical alert notifications is checked in the device settings.

I can't see a feature described in these docs

There are three common reasons:

  • Your role. Some settings are only for admins. See Members and roles.
  • Your plan. Some features are only on paid plans. See Plans.
  • It is turned off for your organization. Some features are turned on per organization. Contact Euler to ask.

The layer images look skewed or stretched

The device's perspective correction is missing or off. An admin can set it again so the build plate appears square. See Perspective correction.
